Oakley Half Jacket Lens Removal & Installation

Oakley Half Jacket Lens Removal & Installation

Thanks for all the comments and insights. To answer some questions, Yes, the method used is exactly the same for Half Jacket XLJ variant lenses, since the glasses are virtually identical. This can be used for the Flak Jackets as well as the construction is nearly the same. Just watch this video and the longer version (if you need more guidance) to get your HJ/FJ lenses back in. DISCLAIMER: I am absolutely not responsible in any way should you crack/destroy/maim/damage your lenses or frame anytime while following this video. A BIT OF ADVICE: To preserve your sunglasses, don't remove and reinstall your lenses unless you really have to. Unless you plan on trashing your pair, its fine. If you plan on maintaining the frame/lenses in good condition throughout their useable life, only swap lenses when really necessary. Reason being the constant bending and squeezing of the frame and lenses take its toll on the parts. Edges of your lenses can crack from constant installation/re-installation. Worst case scenario is that your lenses become so loose that they end up jumping out of the frame at inopportune moments when wearing them. Not good if you've seen those Oakley demo videos where they shoot the ball bearing against the lenses. The lenses are supposed to stay in place by ANSI standards to protect your eyes and not eject off the frame. So there you have it. PS: I don't have a video for Monster Dogs/Gascans or other models. As far as I know for the closed frame O-Matter models ...
